£Ç§©'s Tribute to Our Heartache

There has been alot of articles and pictures from that horrible day when the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building was maliciously targeted and that is not my intentions, but to pay honor to our fallen. Being an *OKIE*, I could not do this homepage without a small tribute. The explosion left 168 people dead, 19 were children and 3 unborn babies not included in the total count. In addition, a nurse was killed trying to help with the rescue. My *OKIE* land was broken at exactly 9:02 a.m. on April 19, 1995. As the days and the weeks that have followed, I truly believe our sorrow has mended in some ways but not all ways. I believe our grief was shared by most of the world. Never before have I seen the out pour of love and the generous giving of supplies, food, and things far too numerous to mention, that was given to us from all parts of the world. Most important was the giving of ones own time and even putting themselves in extreme danger. Americans worked day and night, side by side, hand to hand and it didn't matter the color of our skin, what our names were or what we looked like to each other. I ask myself why did it take such a tradegy to show that as Americans, we can overcome our bias, our prejudices and our attitudes to become one in the same.

The following is a list of our fallen brothers and sisters. Not to say any less of the hundreds that were hurt, but due to privacy laws, I cannot access that information.
